Técnicas de beneficiamento do Kouros

O Kouros é uma rocha metamórfica – Granítica alterada predominantemente cinza escura e verde escura, com granulometria grossa entre 2mm - 15cm.  A sua composição mineralógica favorece a especificação deste material para áreas expostas ao calor, considerando de Plagioclásio (50%) e Clorita (25%). Este material de adequa bem em locais como pisos externos, bancadas de cozinha e lareiras devido a sua resistência ao calor e a sua baixa porosidade. Observa-se também que este produto se adequa muito bem no acabamento escovado, destacando a diferença de dureza entre os minerais e criando relevos excelentes em sua textura.

INFORMACOES UTEIS AO FABRICANTE (marmorista)

Nota: Embora este material tenha características de rocha metamórfica, não podemos compará-la aos quartzitos na especificação e na fabricação, porque ela tem mais baixa dureza. Porém, no preparo do corte, devemos utilizar as mesmas ferramentas para o corte dos quartzitos. Este material possui pequenos veios na chapa que podem se abrir quando esforçada durante o processo de corte dentro da marmoraria.

The choice of input materials for manufacturing this product directly affects its production cost and the final quality of the manufactured part. Assuming the equipment used is in good condition, the cooling system water is clean, and there is no solid waste circulating through it, the following are recommendations for the input materials required for successful processing:

Cutting methodology: to ensure the quality of cuts and grinding, we recommend diamond discs, saws, cups and grinding wheels made of soft metal alloy. In Brazil, we recommend tools from Pyramid model PR30 (same used in Dekton), Performance Model PS 32 – 350mm,

Waterproofing in the cutting area: As it is a material with very low water absorption, it is not necessary to use water repellents in the cutting areas, however, after finishing we recommend using a product to intensify the color of the material.

Gluing the pieces: To ensure the quality of the gluing of the pieces, we recommend the following glues:

NOTE: It is important to strictly follow the proportion of glue + catalyst recommended by the manufacturers. In this case, we recommend using a pigment to match the color pattern of the material.
