Lennon Beneficiation Techniques

The material, commercially known as Granite Lennonis a Brazilian rock. Geologically, this material is a pegmatoid granite with minerals between 5 and 6 mm thick, predominantly yellowish-beige in color, with yellow spots due to the presence of iron oxides. The reddish color is the result of iron oxide combined with quartz. Composed of 74% quartz, 4.71% K-feldspar, 19% plagioclase, and 1.68% sillimanite, this rock is ideal for vertical panels, countertops, and gourmet islands in indoor environments. The low percentage of mica and the high quartz content make it a rock with excellent scratch resistance.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR FABRICATORS (Stone Workers)

This material offers excellent workability for making countertops, sinks, stairs, and other pieces. It should be processed with the same care as a normal exotic rock, offering good impact and flexural strength, and excellent abrasion resistance due to its quartz content.

Cutting Method: to ensure the quality of cuts and grinding, we recommend diamond discs, saws, cups and grinding wheels made of soft metal alloy. In Brazil, we recommend tools from PS31, Performance PS5

Surface protection:

To ensure the material's vitality in terms of protection, we recommend using products that protect the color and are waterproof at the same time.

In both scenarios, we recommend the following products:

Tenax waterproofing and color activator – Easywet, creates a wet effect on the material.

Tenax – Counterpro anti-stain protector.

Bellinzoni Color Revitalizer – Grezzo Protector

NOTE: Apply only when there are small signs of color loss, or after 3 years of use of the piece (countertops, sinks, washbasins, etc.,...

Adhesive bonding: to ensure the best adhesion quality, we recommend the following adhesives:

Brazil and abroad: Adhesives such as Fix Top components A and B, Tenax brand, Blitz Mástique, Bellinzonni brand, Marmofiz, Argacon brand.

NOTE: It is important to strictly follow the proportion of glue + catalyst recommended by the manufacturers. In this case, we recommend using a pigment to match the color pattern of the material.

Installation on sink countertops: We recommend installing countertops made of this material with corner brackets every 70 cm. Fixing should be done with gray or black PU40 polyurethane glue. Do not use industrial silicone, as this glue may stain the countertop surface.

Laying of internal and external floors. The mortar should be installed with white ACIII mortar. After installation, grout with flexible grout in the same color as the material. After the mortar has cured, we recommend applying a layer of one of the revitalizers mentioned above.

Post-installation cleaning and protection: All post-construction cleaning must be carried out using water and neutral detergent to remove residue; the use of acidic detergents is not permitted, as this type of detergent damages the waterproofing protection applied to the parts.

Recommendation: Quartzolit post-construction cleaner, Post-construction floor cleaner detergent – ​​Bellinzonni, PCS Alkaline – Piso Clean, Basic Cleaner detergent – ​​AKEMI brand.
