The Crystal is a Quartzite quarried in Xambioá, Tocantins, Brazil. Its predominantly white color ranges from glassy to milky, while maintaining its translucency. Oxidation percolation around metallic minerals in the form of veins that follow the rock's cracks creates beautiful patterns when backlit. It has a medium to fine grain. This rock can be used in a wide variety of applications, such as gourmet islands, countertops, panels, interior flooring, stairs, tables, and other finishes, making it highly versatile and adaptable to any project. It is a 100% quartz material with traces of sericite as an accessory mineral. In addition to its high hardness, this material also has very low porosity, which aids in specifications for high-use areas such as kitchen islands and countertops. Its translucency aids in the specification of projects with backlighting, demonstrating its unique beauty. Despite all these advantages, this material is not recommended for outdoor use due to the possibility of the resin changing color when exposed to sunlight. INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE MANUFACTURER (MARBLE WORKER) Processing Information The correct selection of materials for manufacturing this product directly impacts production costs and the final quality of the finished piece. Assuming the equipment used is in good condition, the cooling system water is clean, and there is no solid waste circulating through the system, the following are recommendations for the materials required for successful processing: Cutting Methodology: To ensure the quality of cuts and grinding, we recommend diamond discs, saws, cup wheels, and grinding wheels made of soft metal alloys. In Brazil, we recommend the Pyramid PR30 model tools (the same used for Dekton), Performance PS 32 model – 350mm. Waterproofing the cutting area: Because this product has very low water absorption and few pores, waterproofing the areas is not necessary. Gluing the pieces: To ensure quality when gluing the pieces, we recommend the following adhesives: For Brazil and abroad: Platinum, by AKEMI / Titanium, by Tenax / Spezial tak, by Bellinzonni. Because this material is prone to minor oxidation, it is necessary to check with the manufacturer which pigment to use to adjust the glue color. NOTE: It is important to strictly follow the glue + catalyst ratio recommended by the manufacturers. Remember that in mild temperatures, the glue requires a little more time to cure. It is important to remove the protective screen at the cutting area to ensure full adhesion of the glue.

Beneficiation data
The correct selection of inputs for manufacturing this product directly impacts production costs and the final quality of the finished part. Assuming the equipment used is in good condition, the cooling system water is clean, and there is no solid waste circulating through it, the following are recommendations for the inputs required for successful processing:
Cutting methodology: to ensure the quality of cuts and grinding, we recommend diamond discs, saws, cups and grinding wheels made of soft metal alloy. In Brazil, we recommend tools from Pyramid model PR30 (same used in Dekton), Performance Model PS 32 – 350mm,
Waterproofing in the cutting area: As it is a product with very low water absorption and few pores, it is not necessary to waterproof the areas.
Gluing the pieces: To ensure the quality of the gluing of the pieces, we recommend the following glues:
Brazil and abroad: Platinum, from AKEMI / Titanium, from Tenax / Spezial tak, from Bellinzonni. Because this material is prone to minor oxidation, it is necessary to identify with the manufacturer which pigment to use to adjust the color of the glue.
NOTE: It's important to strictly follow the manufacturer's recommended glue-catalyst ratio. Remember that in mild temperatures, the glue requires a little more time to cure. It's important to remove the protective screen at the cutting site to ensure full adhesion of the glue.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THE INSTALLER
Laying parts on vertical panels: For installing vertical panels, bench tops, and baseboards, we recommend using PU 40 polyurethane adhesive; remember that the wall surface must be level and free of dust and other dirt. After applying PU 40 and installing the piece, we recommend waiting the manufacturer's suggested curing time before releasing the area for use. For mortar, always use white ACII, as per the brands suggested in the topics below.
Product recommendation: Hybrid glue AK 100, from the manufacturer AKEMI / TK PU 40 white, AKEMI / PU 40 multi gray, from Barone / or PU 40, from the manufacturer Tekbond
NOTE: In the case of backlit panels, we recommend placing a translucent white canvas between the LED panel and the crystal to prevent the LED from appearing in front of the panel when lit.
Flooring installation: This material isn't widely used for flooring, but for installations, we recommend using mortar with high chemical adhesion and flexible properties. For grouting, we recommend a waterproof and flexible product. Although this product is very hard, it has low thermal expansion, so it's essential to respect the expansion joints between floors and between the floor and walls.
Recommendation: Quartzo D mortar, from AKEMI / Flexible white ACIII cement mortar, from Quartzolit / or Votoran white ACIII internal/external Votomassa mortar. For grout, AKEMI Premium Super flexible polymer or Quartzolit epoxy grout,
NOTE: Although it is highly scratch resistant, this material is not recommended for outdoor flooring, as it can yellow over time.
Post-construction cleaning and protection: All post-construction cleaning must be carried out using water and neutral detergent to remove residue. The use of acidic detergents is not permitted, as this type of detergent damages the waterproofing protection and the resin layer applied to the pores and fractures of the rock.
Recommendation: Post-construction Bellinzoni floor cleaner detergent / PCS Alkaline, Floor Clean / Basic Cleaner detergent – AKEMI brand / Alka Flor - Chemistone brand.
Post-construction protection: For this material, it is not necessary to apply water repellents after construction, just cleaning with water and neutral detergent.
With the right care, your natural stone will last for generations, maintaining the same beauty and exuberance as when it was installed.
